Privacy Policy – Finesse Bridge Club

Finesse Bridge Club (“we”) is run by Jonathan Bennett. This policy explains how we use personal information. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect
When you sign up through our website, social media or a Facebook/Instagram form, or when you play at the club, we may collect your name, mobile number, email address, whether you need a partner, and your bridge results. Results and EBU numbers are used for masterpoints.

How we use it

• To contact you about playing, including session reminders and finding you a partner.

• To run sessions, publish results and award EBU masterpoints.

• To tell you about club events. You can opt out at any time.

We rely on your consent and on our legitimate interest in running the club. We never sell your information.

Who we share it with

• The English Bridge Union, for masterpoints if you play in our sessions.

• Our results service, which publishes names and scores online.

• Meta, if you sign up through a Facebook or Instagram form. Meta collects that data under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it
We keep contact details for up to two years after your last contact with us, unless you become a member. Results are kept as part of the club’s records.

Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing [email protected]. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
